Are you ready for The Rage Cage???!!!!! This has to be one of the coolest toys from the 70’s! At least, I remember thinking it was cool when I saw the commercial as a kid. Alas, I never got to call one of these gems my own, but a kid can still reminisce about the toy that got away.

So . . . what is the Rage Cage?

There were actually two different versions of these toys featuring Marvel characters. They both basically featured the same gimmick of inflating a character until he broke out of the cage. It seems that the Hulk was the most popular one, but there was also one featuring the Thing. Based off of the timing, it looks like they were either trying to build up hype, or getting ready to promote, the cartoon featuring Benjy Grimm as the Thing.
